Another Eastern Palace card

Alright, maybe two! I cannot stop playing with this set! There are just so many things that you can do with it! And I've only just started!

I was laying in bed last night looking through a sketch book when it struck me that this suite would look awesome in black and white. So I started playing around and came up with this card.

I know it's not black and white but the gold and black really look great together! It almost looks like night of navy in this pic but it is black! One caution though. Don't put the stickers on till after you heat emboss your greeting! They don't like the heat gun!

I don't know if you are like me, but I hate cutting into my fancy embossed paper. I want to hoard it! But I told myself I wouldn't do that, so taking a deep breath, I cut into it for my next card. It might have made it easier that I had bought 2 packs of the DSP!

This is closer to my black and white, but it is very vanilla. Also my old school colors! I really like how they both turned out! Thanks for stopping by and looking!

Eastern Palace

I am in love with this set! I have spent all day playing with it and can't believe how much fun it is! When I first saw it I didn't think it was my "style" so I wasn't going to buy it. Then I thought I would stretch myself and go outside of my box. Boy, am I glad I did!

I just wanted to share a couple of my creations with you. The first one is my Christmas card that I wanted to do off the idea I had here.I switched out the swirly bird die cut for the flourish one. The leaf is from that set too.

The next few are just my playing around with the paper, stamps, and die cuts.

They are having a special on this in May. It's a great deal! You get 3 of the new in colors too. And I must say that I didn't think I would like the lemon lime twist as much as I do! Here is the first bundle you can get.

This is the second one which includes the die cuts.

Both are a great deal. I mean, who doesn't like getting free stuff! Hope you enjoyed looking at my cards as much as I did making them.

Eastern Palace meets Swirly Scribbles

I just started playing with the new suite from SU, Eastern Palace. I'm so excited they will be doing an early release on this! That means it will be available in May for everyone.

I have seen some really good ideas already posted for this set. I can't wait to try some of them and get into the designer paper. But I thought I would post a couple of pictures of cards I have made that have a little different take on the set.

In this one I used the die cut from the swirly bird set for the wavy lines. Then I die cut the flower and inked it with versamark. I rubbed off some of the embossing powder because I wanted some of the white to show through. I haven't stamped a sentiment on it yet because I'm not sure what I need. It would make a good wedding or sympathy card. Can't you picture it in red for Christmas!

This one I had to make because when I first looked at the die cut I saw sunflowers! You have to snip it out because the die doesn't cut it all out, but it's not hard. I ran the centers through the softly falling embossing folder for the seeds.

This is going to be such a versatile set! So excited to play some more. Thanks for stopping by to look!
