New Stuff!

I have some time today to play with my new stuff! No one is home right now and I am excited to get crafting! And back to blogging!

To get some inspiration, I went over to SCS to see what challenges they had for the day. The Try a New Technique was just what I needed to try out my new Cups and Kettles die cut from SU! The challenge was to do a partial cut.

I'm not sure the tea bag colors go too well, but I love the idea.

I also played with one of the new Sale-a-bration sets, Sky is the Limit.

I love this set! I paired it up with some of the new paper from the Occasions catalog. I just cut out some of the mountain ranges. Also used the tree builder punch for my clouds. Had to put the cloud a little close because I had some shadow stamping there!

"Pop!"

I recently aquired a house mouse stamp that I thought would make a great wine tag. I think he is so cute! I "popped" him up so it looks like he is flying through the air. I don't know if you can tell from the picture. I thought I would enter him over at House Mouse & Friends. Their theme is Congratulations. Also over at  The Male Room, their theme is Up in the Air.

As I was looking through the challenges, I noticed the CASology had the theme of "pop" and I thought that my mouse friend would make a cute card too.

Graduation

My middle daughter is graduating this Saturday! It's been a great senior year for her. As well as her normal school, she has published a book (Etched on My Heart) and started her own business on Society 6. I am very proud of all her hard work!

She has many friends graduating this year also. So I thought I would make a card for all the parties I will be going to this month! Or many cards!

I love the little critters from the set Cheerful Critters. I was sad to see this set retire, but I got a lot of use out of it!

Big Day

I finally got a chance to actually do a challenge over at SCS. The Try a New Technique challenge was a Pop-Up Diorama. When I saw it, I knew I wanted to use the Big Day set from SU!

I also used the SAB paper and the alcohol markers. It was fun to try something new. Actually, it was fun to make cards again! I haven't had much time to do that lately.

Snowflakes!

Winter seems to be making up for us having a green Christmas this year! It has been bitter cold for the last couple days and has started snowing. So I thought it would be a good time to enter the challenge over at Merry Monday. Their challenge is snowflakes!

Color Challenge

Over at Christmas Card Challenge it's colors! I've stated in a previous post that this particular color combo has been a problem for me. Other people come up with these beautiful cards using it, but I could never seem to make it work! I finally made one that I really like!

Curvy Keepsake

I just love the Curvy Keepsake box die from SU! I'm sure you've seen all the cute designs that are our there on Pinterest. Well, I just had to add my own!

I made the little girl first. Then I had to try a little boy.

Now all I need is a baby shower to make them for!
